Calibration Technician | Rockford, MI
Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instrumentation and control systems.
- Document calibration procedures, results, and equipment history accurately.
- Adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Maintain calibration standards and test equipment in proper working order.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
Recommended Qualifications
- Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., electronics, metrology, mechanical engineering technology).
- 2+ years of experience in calibration or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of measurement principles, calibration standards (e.g., ISO 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1), and metrology concepts.
- Proficiency in using and troubleshooting a wide range of test and measurement equipment (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, torque wrenches, calipers).
- Ability to interpret technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures.
- Experience with calibration management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Bonus Qualifications
- IPC-7711/7721 or J-STD-001 certification.
- Experience with vision systems or optical measurement equipment.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- PLC programming or troubleshooting experience.
