Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications to create inspection routines.
• Select appropriate probes, fixtures, and measurement strategies for various part geometries.
• Perform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using CMM.
• Troubleshoot and debug CMM programs to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve measurement issues.
• Document and maintain CMM programs, inspection reports, and calibration records.
• Optimize CMM programs for cycle time reduction and improved measurement reliability.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
• Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and 3D CAD models.
• Experience with various CMM hardware platforms and probe systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, validate, and optimize CMM inspection programs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD software for model-based definition (MBD) or Product and Manufacturing Information (PMI).
• Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, C#) for scripting, automation, or data analysis.
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT) certification.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) software and methodologies.
