EHS Manager | Fremont, MI

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence.
• Manage EHS training programs for all employees, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
• Oversee the management of hazardous materials, waste disposal, and chemical inventory.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.
• Maintain and update EHS recordkeeping, reporting EHS performance to management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Professional certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

• CSP or CIH certification.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Gensuite, Intelex, Sphera).
