Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Mattawan that are seeking Estimators. Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate cost estimates for new and existing products.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for bids.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities in cost estimates.
• Present detailed cost breakdowns and justifications to management and clients.
• Maintain and update a comprehensive database of historical cost data.
• Continuously improve estimating processes and tools for efficiency and accuracy.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 3-5 years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and labor costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for cost tracking and analysis.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Proficiency in advanced data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Project management experience, particularly in new product introduction (NPI).
