Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares accurate and timely cost estimates for manufacturing projects.
• Collaborates with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary project details for quoting.
• Analyzes blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Identifies and quantifies cost factors such such as production time, materials, and labor expenses.
• Presents prepared estimates by detailing cost factors and explaining any cost variances.
• Maintains a database of cost information for future reference and continuous improvement.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3+ years of experience in cost estimating within a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in custom fabrication or project-based manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately assess material, labor, and overhead costs.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and estimating software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software.
• Project management experience in a manufacturing setting.
