Salary Range: $83,000 - $123,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement advanced quality control plans and inspection methodologies.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventative actions for complex quality issues.
  • Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and other data analysis techniques to monitor and improve product quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives through the application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure quality is integrated throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Conduct supplier quality assessments and manage supplier corrective actions.
  • Mentor and train junior quality engineers on advanced quality tools and techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in quality methodologies and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Strong understanding of relevant industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software packages beyond basic charting.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior quality engineers or technicians.
  • Certification in a relevant quality discipline (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Black Belt).
  • Practical experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in programming or scripting languages for data analysis and automation (e.g., Python, R).
