Salary Range: $44,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Mattawan seeking Accounts Payable / Receivable Specialists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices accurately and timely, including matching purchase orders and receipts.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Generate and distribute customer invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with terms.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and initiate collection efforts for past-due accounts.
• Apply customer payments accurately and reconcile cash receipts daily.
• Prepare various financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable activities.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and accounting software.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) related to AP/AR processes.
• Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with manufacturing-specific accounting practices (e.g., job costing, inventory valuation).
• Certification in accounts payable (e.g., APA) or accounts receivable (e.g., ARMA).
