EHS Manager | Holland, MI

Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Holland seeking EHS Managers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, chemical inventory, and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and specialized topics.
• Oversee the workers' compensation program, including claim management and return-to-work initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all operational processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant EHS regulations and standards.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive EHS programs.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification
• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 implementation and management
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency in EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
