Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions to determine operational sequences.
• Perform in-process inspections using various metrology tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Adjust machine offsets, tools, and programs to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, part quality, and machine malfunctions.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts, monitoring material usage and machine performance.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience operating CNC Swiss-type lathes
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
• Ability to use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
• Experience with in-process inspection and quality control procedures

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming.
• Ability to perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with quality inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, comparators).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
