Salary Range: $124,000 - $174,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Rockford seeking Controllers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, and inventory costing.
• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage the annual budget process and provide variance analysis.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, pricing, and profitability to identify areas for improvement.
• Lead the year-end audit process and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and reporting.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification highly preferred
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven expertise in cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies
• Strong understanding of ERP systems, particularly as they relate to manufacturing operations
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP system implementation or optimization
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies
• CPA or CMA certification
• Experience with M&A due diligence and integration
• Strong business acumen with a focus on strategic planning and analysis
