Quality Engineer | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $74,000 - $108,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled Quality Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Perform product and process audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability.
• Analyze quality data and generate reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support new product development by ensuring quality requirements are met throughout the lifecycle.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding and application of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys).
• Experience with various measurement tools and techniques, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or other relevant quality certifications.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and auditing processes.
• Experience with root cause analysis tools and corrective/preventative actions (CAPA).
