Salary Range: $58,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Manistee seeking Staff Accountants who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze various financial reports, focusing on cost of goods sold and inventory.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Support external audits by preparing requested documentation and schedules.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
• Analyze production variances and provide insights to management.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of experience in a Staff Accountant role, preferably in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle
• Cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Advanced Excel skills, including macros and complex formulas
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification
