Staff Accountant | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation for manufacturing equipment.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
• Support inventory costing and valuation processes, including analyzing material and labor costs.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with cost accounting and inventory valuation
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
