Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Kalamazoo that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality checks.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action procedures.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement preventive measures.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine quality requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate's degree in a technical field preferred
• 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances

Bonus Qualifications

• IPC certification (e.g., J-STD-001, IPC-A-610)
• Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC)
• ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector)
• Ability to interpret GD&T
