Salary Range: $54,000 - $86,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Robotics Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of robotic systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and software issues in robots.
• Install, program, and commission new robotic equipment and work cells.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and implement necessary repairs.
• Collaborate with engineers to optimize robot performance and improve manufacturing processes.
• Document maintenance activities, repair procedures, and system configurations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in industrial robotics maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and PLC logic.
• Strong understanding of robotic programming (e.g., Fanuc, Kuka, ABB) and ability to perform program modifications.
• Experience with vision systems, HMI interfaces, and various sensor technologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for inspection and guidance.
• Familiarity with a variety of robot programming languages beyond teach pendant (e.g., Python, C++ for specific applications).
• Understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with 3D CAD software for design review or minor modifications.
