Salary Range: $58,000 - $88,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in East Lansing that are seeking skilled Quoting Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely price quotations to customers.
• Review customer requests for quotation (RFQs) and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and production to gather necessary information for quotes.
• Utilize ERP systems and quoting software to generate cost estimates and proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers to secure orders.
• Maintain and update a database of quoted projects and pricing structures.
• Analyze market trends and competitor pricing to ensure competitive quotations.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement within the quoting process.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, fabrication, assembly).
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills for cost calculation and margin analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and quoting software.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Supply Chain Management)
• Proficiency in a second language, particularly Spanish or Mandarin
• Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and competitor pricing strategies
