Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Production Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
- Develop and implement production plans, including staffing, material requirements, and equipment utilization.
- Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process optimizations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and engineering, to optimize production flow and resolve issues.
- Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing production environment.
- Proven track record of improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.
Bonus Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
- OSHA 30-hour certification
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
