Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking Production Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to schedules.
• Develop and implement production plans, including staffing, material requirements, and equipment utilization.
• Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions to minimize defects and ensure compliance with standards.
• Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of safety, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process optimizations.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as supply chain and engineering, to optimize production flow and resolve issues.
• Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing production environment.
• Proven track record of improving production efficiency, reducing costs, and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
• Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems and production planning software.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab)
• OSHA 30-hour certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
