Salary Range: $72,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grand Rapids region seeking Test Engineers. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans for manufacturing processes and products.
• Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and automated test equipment.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to identify and resolve product and process defects.
• Analyze test data, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Conduct root cause analysis of failures and recommend corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in test engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing automated test systems using languages like Python, LabVIEW, or C#.
• Strong understanding of data acquisition, analysis, and statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing test data.
• Experience with various test methodologies and equipment, including functional, in-circuit, and environmental testing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Python scripting for test automation.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• ISTQB Certification.
• Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
