Salary Range: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, procurement, storage, and distribution of all materials.
• Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize waste.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Lead and mentor a team of materials planners, buyers, and warehouse personnel.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales to ensure material availability meets operational demands.
• Implement and maintain robust systems for tracking material flow and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material handling, logistics, and supply chain processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in materials management or a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of implementing and optimizing inventory control systems
• Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their application in materials planning
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
• Experience with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle
• Familiarity with supply chain management software and tools
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
