Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Walker that are seeking skilled Help Desk Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for manufacturing software and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with production line computers and peripheral equipment.
• Configure and deploy workstations for factory floor personnel.
• Escalate complex technical problems to senior IT staff or specialized teams.
• Document support activities, resolutions, and system configurations.
• Assist with the maintenance and upgrades of manufacturing IT infrastructure.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common manufacturing-specific applications (e.g., MES, SCADA).
• Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP) and basic networking concepts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective user support and collaboration.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) in a manufacturing context.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) or SCADA environments.
• Basic understanding of networking for industrial equipment (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
• Experience supporting specialized manufacturing software (e.g., CAD/CAM, MES).
