HR Generalist | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $62,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment for various manufacturing roles, from sourcing to onboarding.
  • Process payroll and benefits administration, addressing employee inquiries and resolving discrepancies.
  • Conduct employee relations investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on key HR metrics.
  • Support performance management processes, including goal setting and annual reviews.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA).
  • Proven experience with HRIS systems and data management.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with HRIS implementation or optimization
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification
  • Proficiency in a second language relevant to the local workforce (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin)
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver HR training programs
