Incoming Inspection Technician | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $49,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documentation.
• Document inspection results accurately and thoroughly in the designated quality management system.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials, initiating non-conformance reports as required.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve quality issues and improve material quality.
• Maintain inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Adhere to all quality procedures, safety regulations, and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1-3 years experience in quality control or manufacturing inspection
• Proficiency with various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CMM operation and/or programming.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis.
• Basic understanding of GD&T principles.
