Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Rockford that are seeking skilled IT Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and support of factory floor IT systems.
• Manage the IT infrastructure for manufacturing operations, including networks and servers.
• Develop and implement IT strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency and data security.
• Lead IT projects related to new equipment integration and system upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards for manufacturing data.
• Manage IT vendor relationships and procurement for manufacturing-specific software and hardware.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor) and their integration within manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and their application in an industrial setting (e.g., OT/IT convergence).
• Demonstrated experience in managing IT infrastructure, networks, and helpdesk support within a production environment.
• Project management experience, particularly in implementing new technologies or improving existing IT systems in manufacturing.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) implementations or support.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments.
• Knowledge of specific manufacturing software (e.g., ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific solutions).
• Certifications in ITIL, PMP, or other relevant project management/service delivery methodologies.
