Salary Range: $79,000 - $113,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Otsego seeking IATF Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IATF 16949 compliant quality management systems.
• Conduct internal audits and manage external certification audits to maintain IATF 16949 compliance.
• Lead problem-solving activities using core tools (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) for customer complaints and internal non-conformances.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through analysis of quality data and process performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on APQP activities, including PPAP submission and FMEA development.
• Manage supplier quality performance, including audits, corrective actions, and new product launch support.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical field.
• 3+ years experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge and practical application of IATF 16949 standards and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
• Proven experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa) and root cause analysis.
• ASQ certifications (e.g., CQE, CSSBB) are a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
• Experience with AIAG core tools beyond basic application (e.g., advanced FMEA techniques, control plan optimization).
• Familiarity with specific manufacturing processes relevant to the company (e.g., stamping, injection molding, welding).
• Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for advanced data analysis and process capability studies.
