Salary Range: $48,000 - $72,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Kentwood that are seeking skilled Incoming Inspection Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, components, and sub-assemblies against specifications and drawings.
• Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, using designated forms and software.
• Initiate and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for rejected materials, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
• Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Maintain inspection equipment and tools, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Interpret and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality standards to inspection processes.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve material quality issues.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in a technical field preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in quality control, inspection, or manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Proficiency in using various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 or other aerospace quality standards.
• CMM operation or programming experience.
• IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
