Salary Range: $52,000 - $79,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and supervise a team of fabricators, promoting skill development and a safe working environment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes.
• Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs for fabrication equipment.
• Manage material inventory for fabrication, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize fabrication methods and resolve technical issues.
• Monitor and report on key fabrication metrics, identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, STICK) and metal forming processes (shearing, bending, rolling).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team, foster a safe work environment, and optimize production schedules.
• Experience with quality control procedures and ensuring fabricated products meet specified tolerances and standards.
• Familiarity with operating and maintaining fabrication machinery and tools.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software
• Forklift certification
• AWS CWI certification or equivalent welding inspection experience
• Experience implementing Lean manufacturing principles
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
