Salary Range: $56,000 - $83,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fabrication operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of fabricators, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Perform complex welding, cutting, and assembly tasks, demonstrating proficiency with various fabrication tools and machinery.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to guide fabrication processes and ensure product accuracy.
- Conduct quality control inspections on fabricated components and assemblies, identifying and resolving non-conformances.
- Manage material inventory for fabrication, coordinating with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the fabrication area, maintaining a safe working environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong knowledge of various fabrication techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, STICK), cutting, forming, and machining.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and train a team of skilled fabricators.
- Experience with quality control processes and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software for design review and fabrication planning.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS Certified Welding Supervisor) or other relevant fabrication processes.
- Ability to train and mentor junior fabricators.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to communicate with a diverse workforce.
