Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking PLC Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests PLC programs for automated manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoots and debugs existing PLC programs to resolve production issues.
• Modifies and optimizes PLC code for improved machine performance and efficiency.
• Collaborates with engineers and production teams to define control system requirements.
• Develops and maintains HMI applications for operator interface and process control.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of control system components.
• Creates and updates technical documentation for PLC programs and control systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience programming PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi) in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagram programming languages.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Experience with HMI/SCADA development and integration.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID diagrams.

Bonus Qualifications

• Familiarity with SCADA and HMI systems beyond basic interface operation.
• Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex, Keyence) for quality control or guidance.
• Proficiency in a high-level programming language (e.g., Python, C#) for data analysis or custom tool development.
• Knowledge of industrial networking protocols like OPC UA or MQTT.
