Salary Range: $72,000 - $111,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests packaging for new and existing products.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate packaging into the overall product development process.
• Optimizes packaging materials and designs for cost-effectiveness, sustainability, and manufacturability.
• Conducts packaging performance testing to ensure product protection and compliance with industry standards.
• Manages packaging projects from concept to production, including timelines and budgets.
• Troubleshoots and resolves packaging-related issues on the production line.
• Stays informed of new packaging technologies and trends to drive innovation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in packaging development within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for packaging design
• Demonstrated understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and manufacturing processes
• Experience with packaging validation, testing, and quality control methods
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISTA, FDA)

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with automation and robotics in packaging.
• Knowledge of sustainable packaging materials and practices.
• Certification in packaging (e.g., IoPP, CPP).
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
