Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Lansing seeking NPI Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the successful transfer of new products from design to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability.
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new products.
• Conduct process validation and qualification activities to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for new product manufacturing issues.
• Define and implement process control plans and quality gates for new product introduction.
• Participate in design reviews to provide manufacturing input and ensure DFM principles are applied.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in NPI (New Product Introduction) or manufacturing engineering within a high-volume production environment.
• Strong understanding of PCB design, fabrication, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD, Eagle) for schematic capture and layout review.
• Experience with manufacturing test methodologies and equipment (e.g., ICT, FCT, AOI).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and BOMs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) for manufacturing quality.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to script or automate tasks using Python or similar languages.
• Understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, injection molding).
