Position Overview
In this exciting opportunity, youll play a critical role in the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, ensuring precision and quality through advanced metrology practices. As part of the launch team, you will utilize your Calypso programming expertise to deliver robust measurement solutions that align with stringent quality standards. Your contributions will support the seamless transition from concept to production while fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement CMM programs using Calypso software to support NPI and ongoing production.
- Perform advanced dimensional inspection and analysis to validate components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to define measurement requirements and strategies.
- Analyze and interpret measurement data, generating detailed reports to inform decision-making.
- Support the launch team by troubleshooting and resolving metrology-related challenges.
- Establish and refine measurement processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide expertise in selecting and maintaining metrology tools and equipment.
- Train and mentor team members on metrology best practices and tools.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience in CMM programming, with advanced proficiency in Calypso software.
- In-depth knowledge of metrology principles, GD&T, and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Strong background in supporting NPI or similar launch-focused environments.
- Hands-on experience with precision measurement tools and technologies.
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex measurement data.
