Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and optimize welding processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Develop and implement welding procedures and standards for new and existing products.
• Select appropriate welding equipment, consumables, and techniques for specific applications.
• Conduct root cause analysis of welding defects and implement corrective actions.
• Train and mentor welding personnel on best practices, safety protocols, and new technologies.
• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure weldability and cost-effectiveness of designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE) certification.
• Proven experience in welding process selection, optimization, and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of welding metallurgy, weldability of various materials, and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods.
• Proficiency in welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO) and their application in manufacturing.
• Experience with welding automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Experience with automated welding processes (e.g., robotic, orbital)
• - Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and interpretation
• - Knowledge of advanced welding techniques (e.g., laser, electron beam)
• - Certification in welding inspection (e.g., CWI, CAWI)
