Key Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust manufacturing presses according to job specifications.
• Operate presses to produce parts while monitoring machine performance.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance using precision measuring tools.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting on press equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and production schedules.
• Document production data, including quantities, scrap, and downtime.
• Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and company policies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up various types of presses (e.g., stamping, hydraulic, mechanical).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
• Skilled in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges) for quality control.
• Demonstrated ability to perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot press malfunctions.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment
• Experience with preventative maintenance on manufacturing machinery
• Proficiency with advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
• Experience in a Lean Manufacturing or 5S environment
