Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Spring Lake, MI
Salary Range: $75,000 - $114,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., 5S, SMED, Kanban, VSM).
- Identify and eliminate waste (Muda) across manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Facilitate and lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze current state manufacturing processes and design future state improvements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain standard work procedures and visual management systems.
- Provide training and coaching to employees on Lean methodologies and tools.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives.
Recommended Qualifications
- Deep understanding and practical application of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., VSM, 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, JIT).
- Proven experience leading and implementing process improvement projects in a manufacturing environment, delivering measurable results.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., A3, Root Cause Analysis, statistical tools).
- Strong communication, training, and change management skills to engage and educate teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Bonus Qualifications
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Proficiency with statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)
- Experience with process simulation software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts and technologies
