Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test embedded software/firmware for manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Integrate embedded systems with industrial automation platforms (PLCs, SCADA) and factory floor machinery.
• Troubleshoot and debug hardware and software issues on production lines to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Develop and implement sensor interfaces and control algorithms for process monitoring, data acquisition, and optimization.
• Ensure compliance with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, EtherNet/IP, OPC UA) for seamless data exchange.
• Collaborate with production, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams to define system requirements and deployment strategies.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals for embedded systems.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems development.
• Experience with microcontroller architectures (e.g., ARM Cortex-M) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Demonstrated ability in hardware-software integration, debugging, and testing embedded systems on physical prototypes.
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, CAN, EtherCAT) and sensor integration.
• Proficiency in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and in-circuit debuggers (JTAG/SWD).
• Understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, PROFINET, EtherCAT)
• Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) or SCADA systems
• Knowledge of functional safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO 13849)
• Experience integrating embedded systems with manufacturing test equipment or automation
