Facilities Manager | Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $85,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventative and corrective actions for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) pertinent to manufacturing operations.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, optimizing costs for utilities, repairs, and capital projects.
• Oversee the planning and execution of facility improvement projects, expansions, and equipment installations.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repairs.
• Implement and maintain robust security systems and emergency preparedness plans for the manufacturing site.
• Manage utility services (electricity, water, gas, HVAC) to support continuous production and energy efficiency.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience managing facilities operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities) and industrial equipment maintenance.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and preventive/predictive maintenance strategies.
• Strong project management skills for facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations.
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and environmental compliance relevant to manufacturing.
• Experience with budget management, vendor negotiation, and contract administration.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean or Six Sigma certification/experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar.
• OSHA 30-hour certification or advanced safety management qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience with energy management systems or sustainability initiatives.
• Experience managing cleanroom facilities or other controlled manufacturing environments.
