Salary Range: $47,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machinery (lathes, mills, grinders) according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine production methods and sequences.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Perform in-process and final quality checks using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Load and unload parts, tooling, and fixtures efficiently and safely.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machining issues, tool wear, and part defects.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming, including offsets and tool changes.
• Expertise in using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Ability to perform in-process quality checks and troubleshoot machine issues.
• Adherence to strict safety protocols and quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other advanced metrology equipment.
• Basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
