Setup Technician | St. Johns, MI

Salary Range: $45,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in St. Johns that are seeking Setup Technicians. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and stage equipment and materials for production runs according to specifications.
• Configure and adjust machinery settings, including tooling and fixtures, for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure proper function and longevity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment malfunctions or setup discrepancies.
• Complete and maintain accurate documentation of setup processes and equipment status.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize setup procedures and reduce downtime.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing or a related field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (e.g., blueprints, schematics)
• Proficiency with hand and power tools

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System) software.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics or technical drawings.
• Prior experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment.
• Experience with basic soldering or wiring.
