Salary Range: $46,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Battle Creek that are seeking skilled Quality Inspectors. Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMMs.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality data.
• Identify and tag non-conforming materials; initiate and follow up on corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Conduct first article inspections and provide feedback on new product development.
• Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, industry specifications, and customer requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in quality control or inspection in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
• Familiarity with common inspection tools and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM)
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities

Bonus Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) certification
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software
• Familiarity with GD&T and CMM operation
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints beyond basic level
