Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Allegan that are seeking skilled Production Leads. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Lead and mentor a team of production operators, fostering skill development and positive morale.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control standards.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust staffing or workflows as needed to meet targets.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and process issues, coordinating with maintenance as required.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes.
• Ensure accurate record-keeping of production data, inventory, and labor hours.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Associate's degree or higher preferred
• 3+ years experience in a manufacturing production environment, with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and apply production schedules, blueprints, and quality specifications
• Proficiency in using manufacturing execution systems (MES) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team leadership and cross-functional collaboration

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
• Proficiency in using ERP/MES systems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members.
• Certification in a relevant manufacturing methodology (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt).
