Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Shop Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production schedules and resource allocation to meet manufacturing targets.
• Manage and mentor a team of shop floor personnel, including performance reviews and training.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across all manufacturing processes.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with supply chain as needed.
• Implement and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, efficiency, and quality metrics.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing shop environment
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with experience managing a team of technicians/operators
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and safety
• Experience with inventory management and procurement processes
