Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Allendale region seeking Quoting Specialists. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates—not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze customer requests, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate and competitive quotes.
• Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to gather necessary information for quoting.
• Utilize ERP systems and quoting software to process requests and generate proposals.
• Negotiate pricing and terms with customers, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of all quotes, including revisions and customer communications.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose alternative solutions to optimize quote competitiveness.
• Stay informed about market trends, competitor pricing, and material costs to ensure up-to-date quoting strategies.

Recommended Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in a quoting or estimating role within manufacturing.
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and proficiency in calculating costs, margins, and lead times.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for interacting with sales, engineering, and customers.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) for order processing and data management.
• Proficiency in using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track customer interactions and manage sales pipelines.
• Familiarity with product configurators or CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) software.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and terminology.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
