Quality Engineer | Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $75,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Ludington that are seeking Quality Engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures and inspection plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Monitor and analyze production processes and product quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Lead and participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, FMEAs, and work instructions.
• Provide training and support to manufacturing personnel on quality standards and procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, FMEA, 5 Whys).
• Experience with metrology, inspection techniques, and quality tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM).

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
• ASQ certification (e.g., CQE, CSSGB).
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams).
• Proficiency in Minitab or other statistical analysis software.
