Salary Range: $76,000 - $110,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Kentwood seeking Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality defects.
• Perform statistical analysis of quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
• Lead and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Develop and deliver training programs on quality standards and procedures to manufacturing personnel.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, IATF 16949).
• Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), root cause analysis, and problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, 5 Whys).
• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP/APQP.

Bonus Qualifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or other ASQ certifications.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software beyond basic charting.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S).
• Familiarity with specific industry standards or regulations (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical devices, IATF 16949 for automotive).
• Proficiency in a programming language for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
