Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Ludington that are seeking Environmental Health & Safety Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and assess risks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training to employees on topics such as lockout/tagout, confined spaces, and hazardous waste management.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation.
• Maintain accurate EHS records, including permits, training logs, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related science/engineering field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct hazard assessments, incident investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are a plus.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 implementation and maintenance.
• Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM.
• Fluency in Spanish or other languages common in manufacturing workforces.
• Experience with ergonomics program development and implementation.
• Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Enablon).
