Salary Range: $59,000 - $91,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Mason that are seeking skilled Environmental Health & Safety Specialists. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to identify hazards and assess risks.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Provide EHS training to employees on various topics, including hazard communication, emergency response, and machine guarding.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization, storage, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation, including permits, training records, and incident reports.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and processes.
• Participate in emergency response activities and lead incident command during EHS-related emergencies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
• Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and training.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation methodologies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 management systems
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM
• Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate EHS-related training programs
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles for process improvement
