EHS Manager | St. Johns, MI
Salary Range: $77,000 - $122,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in St. Johns that are seeking skilled EHS Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular EHS audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and develop preventative measures to avoid recurrence.
- Provide EHS training to employees at all levels, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency response, and machine guarding.
- Manage hazardous waste programs, including proper storage, labeling, and disposal, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to integrate EHS considerations into new projects and process changes.
- Maintain accurate EHS records and prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in EHS management within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience influencing at all levels.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM are highly desirable.
Bonus Qualifications
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation.
- Experience with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 management systems.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency in EHS software platforms (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Enablon).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
