Salary Range: $62,000 - $97,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and implement CNC programs for lathes using CAD/CAM software.
  • Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine optimal machining processes.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and inserts based on material and part geometry.
  • Simulate and verify CNC programs to ensure collision avoidance and efficient tool paths.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing CNC programs to improve cycle times and part quality.
  • Collaborate with machinists and engineers to resolve programming and machining issues.
  • Maintain and update a library of CNC programs and related documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proficient in G-code and M-code programming for CNC lathes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM).
  • Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and fixture design for lathe operations.
  • Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for various materials.
  • Experience with part setup, offsets, and first-part inspection.
