Salary Range: $60,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for 3-axis to 5-axis milling machines.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, holders, and workholding devices.
• Perform simulations and collision detection to validate CNC programs.
• Optimize tool paths and machining parameters for efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and machinists to troubleshoot programs.
• Create and maintain detailed setup sheets and tooling lists.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) for generating toolpaths.
• Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for CNC machine programming.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Experience with various tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies for different materials.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize programs for efficiency, tool life, and surface finish.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with 5-axis programming.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software beyond basic part modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
• Demonstrated ability to optimize toolpaths for reduced cycle times and improved surface finish.
• Experience with automation or robotics integration in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code editing for on-machine fine-tuning.
