Salary Range: $46,000 - $71,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning calibration equipment and instrumentation.
  • Document calibration results, maintain detailed records, and update equipment histories.
  • Develop and revise calibration procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze calibration data to identify trends, potential issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all calibration activities comply with industry standards, internal procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Electronics, Metrology, Mechatronics) or equivalent vocational training/certifications.
  • 1-3 years of experience in calibration, maintenance, or a related technical role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents, schematics, and calibration procedures.
  • Strong understanding of metrology principles, measurement uncertainty, and calibration standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540.1).
  • Experience with various types of test and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, pressure gauges, temperature sensors).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, repair, and adjust precision instruments.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with automated calibration systems.
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) certification.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to interpret and apply advanced metrology concepts.
  • Experience with Gage Management software (e.g., GAGEpack, IndySoft).
